Katrin A. Kuhlmann

Visiting Professor of Law

Prof. Katrin Kuhlmann is a Visiting Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center and Faculty Co-Director of the Center on Inclusive Trade and Development.

She is also the President and Founder of the New Markets Lab, a non-profit law and development lab, and a former trade negotiator who has held senior positions in think tanks and NGOs.

Her research and teaching focus on law and development, international trade law, comparative economic law, trade and gender, agriculture and food security, and regional trade agreements, and she is published widely in these areas.

Prof. Kuhlmann is also a Senior Associate with the Global Food Security Project of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and she serves on the Trade Advisory Committee on Africa at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), the Trade and Investment Law Group of the Law Schools Global League, and the Forum on Trade, Environment, and the SDGs (TESS).

She holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and was a Fulbright scholar in international economics.
